Yet another computer being added to my collection. Nothing terribly fancy, just a Powerspec G171, but it’s got an i7-3770K and it’s only $150. That’s the going price on the CPU alone on FleaBay, and can be used to speed up my gaming PC with a little overclocking. Everything else (drives, Windows 10, motherboard, 12 GB RAM, etc.) is essentially free. Kinda hard to say no, I’m afraid...

You might be mildly proud of me. I picked up an Atari 2600 legacy console for $8 at a garage sale. It has 80 or so of your most pixelated favorites from the 70s and 80s. My daughter has been trying it out on our big screen. Her favorite is Frogger.

Congrats on a heck of a deal . I’m glad to see that your daughter is playing with it and not shunning it because it isn’t the latest 4K system.
I still have a 2600 that I’ve been meaning to hook up and play again. It’ll take a little work to make it function with the big new flat screen but I’ll figure it out. A few years back a friend and I hooked it up and had more fun playing on that simple old machine than we did on current consoles. Newer =/= better...

It’s fun to see younger kids rediscovering the old ways.
